DHAKA -- The 34th span of the Padma Bridge, the largest in Bangladesh, has been installed, making over 5 km of its main structure visible Sunday.
Engineers of China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co, Ltd (MBEC) on Sunday morning successfully installed the around 3,200-ton span which was placed on the pillars 7 and 8 of the 6.15-km bridge in presence of the Bangladeshi and the Chinese officials. (Bangladesh-Bridge-Construction)

CANBERRA -- South Australia (SA) has achieved a global milestone with 100 percent of the state's energy coming from solar panels for over an hour.

KABUL -- The number of people who lost their lives in Afghanistan has reached 24 in Saturday's suicide attack on a private education center in Kabul, Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said Sunday.
