Militants set fire to girls school during raid

In a bid to stop girls education, a group of around 30 unidentified militants have barged into a government girls school in Charbagh city of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province.
The militants set ablaze nine rooms and reduced them to ashes.
The militants took the school watchman hostage before collecting copies of the Koran and other Islamic literature before setting their fires.
The incident is the latest in the series of attacks on girl schools which have been continuously facing the wrath of Islamic fanatics who are against girls education backward areas.
Earlier, unknown militants also blew up a government girls high school in Kabal with an explosive device.
As a result of the incident, more than 250 girl students haquit the school and have stopped receiving education.
