Aust dollar stronger on Wednesday morning

The Australian dollar is firmer on Wednesday morning. At 0620 AEST, the local unit was at 106.00 US cents, up from 105.78 US cents on Tuesday afternoon. The local currency reached 110.11 US cents on May 3, a record high since the currency was floated in December 1983.
